And an abandoned garden still blooms...Here are the unstaked tomatoes. There are four plants here, plus a few volunteers from last year. I suckered them and kind of pooled them together. I read actually that you get more fruit when you let them grow on the ground, unstaked. That would be great as long as they aren't toughskinned, mealy, with little black seeds tucked in the membrane... Honestly, I'll be surprised and happy to get anything: 
Here is something forgotten I found underneath the tomatoes. Little basil plants: 
After weeding (lots and lots of weeds) I found some little plantings. These could be peppers because I did put some pepper seed in. I gently took them out of the ground and replanted them. Banana peppers? Jalapeno? Sweet Green? It's all a wait and see: 
Two Zucchini plants. They look a little rain and bug weary, but I think they'll make it: 
Runner beans in the pot, some cherry tomatoes next to them, and zinnias and cosmos in the raised bed. The zinnias and cosmos should have been blooming by now. Something colorful could still happen, you never know:
