there is still a small chance..... he has big support here in Texas
I feel sorry for Ron Paul. He is the most level-headed candidate out there, and people automatically write him off because no one else knows what he's about. If people would actually do their job and research the candidates, I guarentee that many more would support Ron Paul. When will America realize there is more to our government than the two parties? I was going to vote for Ron Paul, but I think I'll have to settle for Obama or McCain's top rival come March.
^ Agreed. He makes the most sense; he just couldn't get his views out into the mainstream media.
"It can be debated that he never had an opportunity to get his message out to mainstream voters with the mainstream media and that debate is likely valid. But it really doesn't matter now."
No, it really doesn't. Because people have their heads stuck up their own asses so far that they can't see beyond the tv-screen up there.
I heard he was a creationist.
America has become a nation of illiterate fools amusing themselves to death in front of TVs and video games oblivious to the fearful reality that our birthright of liberty and self-government under the rule of law is being sold down the river for the promise of safety and socialized prosperity trumpeted by self annointed establisment clones vying for American idol . . . I mean, the presidency.
I heard he wanted to reduce the size of the Gov - only sane people would do that.
I hate how people assume that just because you oppose the war in Iraq then you're obviously anti-troops and you care nothing about them. If I were Ron Paul, I'd be beyond pissed off. Or even Gravel for that matter, since I had no idea he was even in the race, since he wasn't in the debate I caught, and he hasn't been in the media.
"Will you excuse me, sir, while I weep for our country?"
Oh. That's so sad.
Okay seriously, its not that people don't understand his views, its that people DON'T AGREE WITH HIS VIEWS! # Voted NO on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (Jan 2007) # Voted NO on allowing human embryonic stem cell research. (May 2005) # Voted YES on banning gay adoptions in DC. (Jul 1999) Don't ask, don't tell is a decent policy for gays in army. (Jun 2007) # Voted NO on starting implementation of Kyoto Protocol. (Jun 2000)
Just a few. There are many things about Ron Paul I DO like, but not as much as at least 1 other candidate.
